At SJCA, we believe enrichment helps students discover their talents, build confidence, and grow as leaders — both inside and outside the classroom.

Algebra I

Qualified eighth-grade students have the opportunity to take Algebra I, a high school-level course that allows them to earn high school credit before graduating from SJCA. Students receive rigorous instruction that prepares them for advanced mathematics in high school while building confidence in problem-solving and critical thinking.

Activity Hour

Students in Grades 4–8 participate in a weekly Activity Hour where they can explore personal interests and talents through engaging electives such as:

  • Robotics
  • Chorus
  • Fashion Design
  • Chess
  • Basketball
  • Greek Mythology
  • Public Speaking
  • Yearbook
  • Book Club
  • Service Club
  • And more!

Leadership & Service

Students have opportunities to grow as leaders through:

  • Student Council
  • Service Club
  • School and parish service projects
  • Buddy Program with younger grades
  • School performances and special events

After-School Enrichment

Students may also participate in a variety of after-school programs throughout the year, including:

  • Soccer
  • Art Club
  • Band
  • Piano
  • Young Creators
  • Public Speaking

At SJCA, enrichment is more than an extra—it is part of who we are. Whether students are solving advanced algebra problems, building robots, performing on stage, or serving the community, they are discovering their gifts while developing the confidence and skills to succeed in high school and beyond.
